Why You Should Try Ranthambore National Park Safari At Least One?

When thinking about safaris, most of the people imagine the all-encompassing plains of Africa with its profusion of wildlife and while Africa is the most distinguished destination for such a journey, it is not the only destination where you could get up close and personal with exotic natural world and big cats.

Ranthambore National Park safari in India is one of the largest in the country and has a broad array of nature that would compete with many African national parks. It is house to leopards, hyenas, crocodiles, sloth bears, and Indian false vampires along with many, many more. Ranthambore is also perhaps the most excellent location in India to see one of the country's mainly famous residents; the Royal Bengal tiger. There are about 36 tigers within the park and they could be found with relative effortlessness, even all the way through the day, hunting or concerned for their young. The park offers all these endangered tigers a safe shelter from the surroundings destruction and poaching that has overwhelmed this species plus resulted in the diminish of their numbers in their natural habitat.

Today the park is a key wildlife tourist attraction for wildlife safari in India but initially the park began its being as a hunting field for the Maharajas of Jaipur in South-eastern Rajasthan. Loads of royal guests (together with Queen Elizabeth the second and Prince Phillip) came to Ranthambore to gun down tigers during the era for the Maharajas until tiger hunting was barred in the year 1970. In 1973, Ranthambore National Park was acknowledged a tiger sanctuary beneath 'Project Tiger'. Project Tiger was a national mission, which sought after preserving tigers along with the entire environment, which sustains the tigers of India.
